1. Connectors, because the railway is composed of various accessories, and the combination of components requires various connectors. Parts that connect the ends of two rails are called joint connectors. The parts that connect the rails and sleepers are called intermediate connectors, which are also what we call fasteners. The railway fastener manufacturers tell you that the joint connection part allows the wheel to roll smoothly on the rail joint and keeps the front and rear rails working in harmony. The fasteners can well connect the rails and sleepers together to form a rail frame to keep the two rails in the correct relative position; the fasteners provide enough pressure to prevent the rails from turning over and preventing the rails from moving longitudinally.
2. Subgrade usually refers to the ballast (ballast) cushion laid under the sleepers and on the surface of the subgrade. The main function is to support the sleeper, disperse the huge load on the upper part of the sleeper to a uniform subgrade surface, thereby greatly reducing the deformation of the subgrade. 3. Turnouts are line connection devices that turn rolling stock from one track to another, usually laid in a large number of stations and marshalling yards.
